Job Summary
Collaborative ABA Services is looking for a dynamic Occupational Therapist to join our team! The position is part-time working with our Occupational Therapy team.
The Occupational Therapist works as a member of the interdisciplinary team in the clinic setting. Occupational Therapists are responsible for providing 1:1 and group therapy services to patients and their families. The Occupational Therapist will conduct routine assessments to guide treatment planning and monitor client progress. The Occupational Therapist will also provide training to further educate other family members and professionals to support the patient’s generalization of skills outside of therapy sessions.
This position provides services to children and their families at our Middletown Clinic, which operates from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The majority of hours will be scheduled between 3:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to support after-school needs.

Job Duties
- Provide comprehensive, ethical, and compassionate therapeutic services to children with developmental disabilities.
- Work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team in a supportive team-working environment for optimal client outcomes while including measurable improvement criteria.
- Identify need for and make referral to other disciplines to address the comprehensive needs of the patient when appropriate.
- Write and maintain confidential client case notes and reports, as well as information for clients, and other professionals.
- Screen and evaluate clients and provide evaluation results to stakeholders.
- Develop initial and ongoing treatment plans of care including data collection methods, therapeutic interventions, and discharge plan.
- Revise treatment plans, as needed, throughout the treatment process.
- Educates patients/families in home exercise programs and/or functional activities to maximize independent functional activity
- Determines when a client has met all treatment goals and recommends discharge if appropriate.
- Maintaining accurate records of treatment and billing after each session.
- Supervises OT students, COTA, and volunteers.
- Reviews the quality and appropriateness of the total services delivered per client to make appropriate recommendations to funding sources.
- Build a strong Occupational Therapy program.
- Maintains confidentiality of client, including records and services provided according to HIPPA regulations.
Job Qualifications
- Education: Graduate of an accredited program of Occupational Therapy with current Licensure as an Occupational Therapist issued by the Connecticut State Department of Public Health
- Registration as an Occupational Therapist with the National Board. Must have a current Connecticut Occupational Therapy License.
- Experience: Previous experience working with children/adolescents with special needs including Autism as a Occupational Therapist (1-2 years preferred).
- Must have reliable transportation and insurance.

Physical Demands
- Must be able to perform a variety of postures and motor movements which may include the ability to stoop, stand, reach, lift , pull, walk, push, grasp, hear, talk, see and use repetitive motions.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds in working with children with special needs and behavior difficulties.
- Must be able to sit on the floor or stand for extended periods of time.
- Must have visual acuity to read and comprehend written or typed communication
- Must be physically present at assigned job location in home, school, and community settings.
Compensation: $35.00 - $38.00 per hour
